Last night’s meeting was the first meeting we’ve attended for Emergency Preparedness. Who knew there was so much information to learn on the subject. And we all thought it was all about just 1 year maybe 3 years supply of food. LOL, if that’s all it was, I’d go out and get the food right now. But it’s so much more…we’ll get into each aspect slowly so we don’t intimidate you. Believe me, although it’s all very important and necessary, you don’t want to overwhelm yourself or you won’t want to do it at all.
Just to give you an idea here’s some of the things we talked about:
- Intro of the new Stake level EP Coordinator. (Works for FEMA, Federal Emergency Management Agency)
- The status of each ward’s Preparedness Plans in the Stake.
- Pleasant Grove’s plans for CERT training for 2008, which will begin in April.
- Discussion of the Stake Emergency Preparedness Fair which will be in the Q1 of 2008.
Well, we plan on taking it one step at a time. So don’t you worry.
