Sweet Wheat Cake
(Someone from the PG 3rd Ward prepared this for anyone to taste during the 2008 Stake Emergency Preparedness Fair in Pleasant Grove, UT)
Ingredients:
1 can condensed milk
4 eggs
1 tbsp of vanilla
1 stick of butter
4 tbsp of baking powder
3 c of cooked sprouted wheat
½ c cranberries, raisins, nuts to taste
Preparation:
1. To sprout the wheat: Soak the wheat for 12 hrs. or over night with enough water.
2. Drain the water in a colander (plastic is best) with enough holes to air out the sprouted wheat this prevents the wheat from going and smelling bad.
3. Then cook the wheat in water until it is smooth about 15 to 20 min.
4. Mix all ingredients in the blender for about 2 to 5 min. or until the wheat is dissolved. First the liquid ingredients then the dry, put the mix in a pan and bake at 400º for 20 to 25 min.
